Bill is an experienced General Counsel and Company Secretary who has been working in advanced aerospace and automotive engineering for almost 25 years.
He has previously held General Counsel and Company Secretarial positions at Switch Mobility (the global electric bus and commercial vehicle OEM), the UK’s National Physical Laboratory (the world-leading metrological scientific organisation), Martin-Baker (the global aircraft ejection and crash-worthy seat OEM), Ricardo plc (a global engineering consultancy, specialising in electrified automotive powertrain technologies) and the Premium Aircraft Interiors Group (a global aircraft interiors tier 1 supplier, now part of Safran). Before that he worked for several years at BAE SYSTEMS plc (British Aerospace) after starting out in private practice at the Global 100 international engineering law firm Pinsent Masons.
He has degrees in English Literature, English, Scots and Engineering Law, and Advanced Management & Leadership from the Universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, King’s College London and Oxford. When professional and family time allows, he is a founding trustee of the international Lucy Heart Foundation charity and School Governor”.
